What is Hypnotherapy?

 

Hypnotherapy is a method of changing your thoughts, behaviours, and even your body’s biochemistry using the power of your imagination!

Hypnosis works by guiding you into a very deep state of relaxation, which some hypnotherapists prefer to call a “trance”. This is not to be confused with sleep. You are actually more alert than during normal waking consciousness. This state has been referred to as “double consciousness.”  During this stage, the hypnotherapist begins providing the unconscious mind with positive suggestions and metaphors (stories) to help achieve the goals of the individual. In this state it is also possible to recall any event from the past that may have been repressed.

Hypnosis is one of the quickest and most exciting ways to make positive, lasting change to your health and life. And contrary to popular myth, hypnosis is completely safe… and you can experience huge leaps forward with just one session!

Hypnosis works by guiding the mind into a state of deep relaxation. In this “trance” state, the critical filtering capabilities of the conscious mind are bypassed, allowing the hypnotherapist to provide suggestions direct to the unconscious mind… the “control panel” of the brain. The terms sub-conscious mind and unconscious mind are identical.

Hypnosis also works by the hypnotherapist talking in the “language” of the unconscious mind, ensuring the conscious mind doesn’t interfere at all. This is achieved through a combination of guided visualization exercises and through the use of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

From now on due to the Coronavirus pandemic we can only offer online appointments via Zoom. This is an option for clients we will keep for the future as sometimes its more relaxing for clients to be treated at home.
